Describe below in brief how you would like to be introduced:
One of the pioneers of Information Systems Audit in
India
. Experience of over 21 years in Information Technology and Information Systems Audit. Passed the CISA Examination in 1992.
I moved from programming and system development ( COBOL, C, UNIX, DOS) ( 3 years) to Information Systems Audit for about 15 years and then recently since the last 3 years I have moved back to I T with responsibility for IT Strategy, policy making, architecture and value realization, Information Security for the L&T Group of companies.
Have conducted over 200 IS Audits on a variety of technology and business platforms in Banking and manufacturing and Service industries. Expert auditor of ERP systems, E Business systems and was expert user of Audit Software.
My association with ISACA has been deep and strong – involved in formation of the Mumbai Chapter, server Mumbai chapter as Hon Secretary, CISA co-ordinator, Vice President and President. Associated with ISACA International too – served on the CISA TEC for three years and continuing as member on the Control Journal Editorial Board for the fifth year, was author of the IT Audit Basics column for three years.
Current areas of work are on IT Governance, Value realization from IT, IT Architecture, and Information Security Program design and oversight. Program Management of large ERP implementations, EAI projects, consolidation, integration etc,.
