Professional Development Program
Professional
Development (PD) Program Objective:
ISACA and its various
Chapters worldwide help members to achieve and maintain their
Certification through multifaceted activities like Chapter Meetings,
Training Workshops, Seminars and Conferences. These activities are
mentally stimulating, professionally enriching and satisfying, and in
addition attending these programs, helps members to earn valuable CPE
hour credits.
ISACA Mumbai Chapter
contributes to these efforts through a high quality and cost effective
professional development program to all Mumbai based members of the
chapter. The Chapter endeavors and tries to ensure that all our programs
are focused and revolve around the domains of CISA (Assurance), CISM
(Security) and CGEIT (Governance).
Mumbai Chapter programs
also offer its members with a superb and unparalleled opportunity to
meet, network and liaise with fellow professionals and also more
importantly to keep up with the trends in the profession.
Professional
Development (PD) Program Strategy of ISACA Mumbai Chapter:
In order to achieve PD
Program objectives, following different types of training programs are
offered by the Chapter
1. Chapter Members
Meetings: This is a free program for all Mumbai chapter members, where
lectures by professionals are organized. The Chapter tries its best to
hold at least two such meetings every month on various topics of
interest. Average attendance to each of these chapter members meetings
is around 75 to 100 members and provides an excellent opportunity to
members for networking with peers.
2. Chapter Tutorial
Workshops: These are paid programs - more of intensive hands on training
programs. The average attendance to each of these programs is limited to
maximum of 20 to ensure a better faculty to student ratio and ensure
focused attention on the participants. Many of these Tutorial Workshops
are held jointly by partnering with various Peer-reviewed Training
Bodies and Organizations in order to avail of external expertise and
help the members to get good exposure and a wide variety of learning
avenues.
3. Chapter Seminars:
These are generally events for discussions on focused thought provoking
topics of current interest, including current trends and its impact on
the industry and profession. Average attendance to each of these seminar
ranges between 50 and 100. These are paid programs for which nominal
fees are charged to take care of the expenses.
4. Chapter Conferences:
Chapter Conferences are events, where discussions take place on current
and future developments related to the Profession. In particular ISACA
Mumbai Chapter’s Annual Conference is the most eagerly awaited event.
The Chapter Conferences are dedicated to offering the most dynamic and
inclusive conferences to keep the members abreast of the latest advances
in the IT profession. ISACA conferences are where new technology and
practical application converge.
