Speaker & Profile: Mr. Prashant Mehta.
Prashant Mehta, CISA, CISM, CRISC, MBCI, CFE, CIA is a Global Business Continuity Planner for GlobeOp
Financial Services Ltd.
Prashant has been consistently recognized in the industry internationally and within the companies
he has worked. He is a Winner of an international award of “BCI Business Continuity Manager of the
year 2011” organized by BCI, UK.
Prashant has also been awarded “Industry Personality of the Year 2011” award by KPMG India and BCI, UK
Prashant has been one of the very few who has been able to convince Senior Management into investing
heavily into own building with 1000+ seats (for Work Area Recovery) seemingly staying vacant all the time,
especially where the organization provides fixed price services to its client in this competitive environment.
Prashant’s dedication, pursuance and fighter spirit has instilled great confidence in company’s ability to perform
in the face of any adversaries and permanently taken away BCP as an agenda item in any high level meetings.
He has encouraged and mentored at least 15 people into the field of Business Continuity in last 5 years, thus
contributed significantly to the function and to the industry on the whole. Some of them are now heading BCP
functions for their entire organizations.
All the organizations he has worked, he has created an environment where everyone, from a normal employee
to Senior Management is alert and always on the lookout for something unusual and no sooner they find it
they report. The principle of “A stitch in time saves Nine” is followed in full spirit. The same has been achieved
by constantly demonstrating the benefits of alertness, awareness, prior planning, etc, on so many occasions
where impact due to disruption was almost negligible.
