Topic & Contents: ` Relevance of service management models with management frameworks and standards`

With the continual drive of increasing Service quality whilst decreasing the cost and time to implement Service
Management, relative importance of implementing appropriate service management standard / framework is gaining momentum
in the industry.


Already there exist many management standards and framework. Some are adaptable across multiple industries
operating environment and some are specific to industry verticals. It is important for us as an end customer business or
a management consultant and business leaders to understand the key strength, differentiators and objectives of these
management systems models before we decide to invest business time, resources and money in these models.


In this session, we are going to share experience, discuss and benchmark popular service management models such
as CMMI-SVC, ISO 2000, ITIL and also see relevance of other management models such as ISO 27001 and COBIT
in improving service delivery processes with a bird`s eye view.

Speaker & Profile: Mr. Chandrakesh Rai, Director, CNR Global Solutions.


Chandrakesh is an engineering graduate and masters in business administration. He holds various professional
credentials such as CCNP, CCDP, CISSP, CISA, CRISC, ISO27001:2005, ISO20000 lead auditor & BSI certified
implementation consultant, certified ISO 31000 consultant, TBEM Assessor, Certified SIX SIGMA Green Belt,
CCWE, ITIL V3 F & SS, SD and ST certified.

Chandrakesh`s professional career spans across two decades of industry association primarily as a technology
service professional. He has been a hands on manager and leader and possess expertise in the field of IT
infrastructure deployment, service management, Information risk management & IT Governance across industry
verticals like ITES, RETMAN, Media, Insurance and financial service companies.
Chandrakesh is currently involved in helping customers in developing and deploying appropriate ITSM and
Information Risk Management strategy and framework. He helps customer IT organization identify and control
wastages in IT investment and ITSM process using various standard methodologies and his industry experience.
He provides consulting and assessment service in formulating appropriate risk management framework aligned
to local business environment and advice on process, tools and techniques to contain risk at various levels within
and outside the business environment.
