Dear Participants

It was very encouraging to observe the active participation of members at Special Interest Group (SIG) on COBIT 5 held so far. As informed earlier, the main activities of this SIG group is :

- Presentation and discussion on various publications from ISACA using COBIT 5

- Presentation and discussion on any initiatives taken for implementation of COBIT 5

- Any other topics of interest regarding COBIT 5

I wish the members to come forward and give a talk on various topics on the subject.

In the coming chapter meeting, I would like to talk on ˜COBIT 5 for Professional Career™. In my presentation, I will explain the two paths ˜Assessor Path™ and ˜Implementer Path™ and the opportunities these can create for professional careers. As explained on ISACA website, COBIT Implementers could be IT auditors, IT managers, IT quality professionals, IT leadership, IT developers, process practitioners, managers in IT service providing firms. COBIT Assessor is for Internal and External Auditors, IT Auditors and Consultants. I wish you should be exposed to the new Process Assessment Model. I will take this opportunity to briefly explain requirements for COBIT 5 Foundation Course which is the beginning point for both career paths, COBIT Implementer as well as COBIT Assessor. I will also explain all the COBIT 5 publications to date and how they can be used by members for creating a visibility for themselves in their current jobs.

The schedule for Saturday will be as follows:

Session 1: ˜COBIT 5 for Professional Career™, Avinash Kadam.

Session 2: Process Capability Model, Sunil Bagwe.
