Topic : Implementing a GRC system

[A case Study at large Australian financial services organisation]

The presentation will showcase a case study demonstrating how this organisation moved from a passive and reactive security model towards an enterprise security management where information security is managed in line with business requirements. His presentation will discuss the approach his team undertook and how it all with conducting a gap assessment, developing a roadmap to model the Enterprise Architecture (EA) of the organisation and culminating into a continuous monitoring approach to maintain a real-time risk perspective of the organisation over a period of 3 years. The presentation will end with a summary of lessons learnt and the organisation™s plans to take its maturity even higher.

Speaker & Profile: Mr. Vasant Rao

Vasant works as a Principal Consultant based in Melbourne, Australia. He has in excess of 15 years™ experience in the ICT Security industry. He has completed his Masters in Technology Management at University of New South Wales in Australia. He did his Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Pune and PGDST from NCST (now CDAC). His industry accreditations include CISA®, CISM®, CGEIT®, CRISC®, GIAC Security Network Auditor [GSNA] from SANS Institute and certified by RABQSA as an ISO27001 Lead Auditor.

He has a keen interest in Enterprise Security Risk Management ranging from developing ICT security governance models and frameworks to consulting and deployment of automated platforms including IT-GRC, security threat and vulnerability management systems.

  4. No refund will be made for cancellation less than 10 working days of the event date.
